Superleggera V4 Centenario

The Pinnacle of a Century: Introducing the Ducati Superleggera V4 Centenario

POSTED: 19/03/2026

At On Yer Bike / Ducati Aylesbury, we have seen some incredible machines, but none quite like this. To celebrate a milestone that only comes once in a hundred years, Ducati has unveiled the Superleggera V4 Centenario. This isn’t just a motorcycle; it is the most advanced machine ever created by Ducati, representing the peak of a century of engineering expertise.

Engineering Beyond Limits

The "Superleggera" name has always stood for "super light," but the Centenario takes this concept to a new dimension. It is the only road-legal motorcycle in the world equipped with a chassis made entirely of carbon fibre—including the front frame, swingarm, subframes, and wheels.

The heart of this masterpiece is the Desmosedici Stradale R 1100. Unlike any other model in the range, this 1,103-cc engine features a super-light crank train and titanium components that make it 3.6 kg lighter than the standard Panigale V4 engine.

Magic Numbers

For those who live for performance, the technical specs are staggering:

  • Max Power: 228 hp in standard EU configuration, rising to a massive 247 hp with the full racing kit and Ducati Corse Performance Oil.
  • Weight: A wet weight (no fuel) of just 167 kg when equipped with the racing kit.
  • Power-to-Weight Ratio: An incredible 1.48 hp/kg.

World-First Innovations

Ducati has integrated MotoGP-derived technologies never before seen on a street-legal bike:

  • Brembo Hyction Carbon Ceramic Discs: The first of their kind for a road sport bike, offering exceptional fade resistance and a significant reduction in unsprung weight.
  • Öhlins Carbon Fibre Outer Tubes: Another world debut for a road bike, these forks are 34% lighter than conventional aluminium tubes.
  • Ducati Neutral Lock (DNL): A patented system that prevents accidental downshifting from first to neutral, mirroring the setup used by official MotoGP riders.

Exclusive Editions

The Centenario will be available in two meticulously crafted liveries:
  1. GP26 Rosso Centenario (Limited to 500 units): Featuring the brand-new matt Rosso Centenario and iconic white stripes inspired by the latest MotoGP bike.
  2. Centenario Tricolore (Limited to 100 units): A tribute to the 1984 750 F1 Endurance bike and Marco Lucchinelli’s 1986 Daytona victory.

The Ultimate Collector’s Experience

Each bike is individually numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Owners also have the exclusive opportunity to purchase the MotoGP Experience, a once-in-a-lifetime chance to test their skills at the Misano circuit and ride the DesmosediciGP26.

Note: Due to ongoing homologation, final specifications may be subject to change.
