For over 30 years, the Ducati Monster has defined the sport naked segment. It’s a bike built on a simple, effective formula: a potent engine, a Superbike-derived chassis, and an unmistakable, muscular style. Now, the legend roars into its fifth generation. On Yer Bike is thrilled to announce the new 2026 Ducati Monster, a machine that's lighter, sharper, and more confidence-inspiring than ever before.
Icon, Innovated: Design That Connects Past and Present
The 2026 Monster's design is a powerful blend of heritage and modern aggression. It retains the core DNA—that compact, muscular, and pure form—but refines it with dynamic new lines. The iconic silhouette is still defined by the signature three arcs of the fuel tank, rider seat, and passenger seat, a nod to the classic Monster shape.
The redesigned iconic fuel tank features front air intakes that recall the second-generation model, but they're not just for show; they allow for a wider steering angle, enhancing maneuverability. Up front, a new Full LED lighting system with a distinctive Double C-shaped headlight (a signature of Ducati nakeds) ensures you command attention, day or night. This is 100% Monster, looking confidently toward the future while honouring its celebrated past.
Power and Precision: The New V2 Engine
At the heart of the new Monster is a new 90° V-twin engine, specifically developed for this machine. This is the lightest Ducati twin-cylinder ever, contributing significantly to the bike's exceptional agility.
Specifications:
Displacement: 890 cc
Max Power: 111 hp @ 9,000 rpm
Max Torque: 91.1 Nm (67 lb ft) @ 7,250 rpm
The engine is engineered for Lifestyle and Sporty Fun, not just peak performance. A key feature is the Intake Variable Timing (IVT) system, which continuously shifts the intake timing. This ensures a wide and usable torque curve—you get over 70% of the torque available as low as 3,000 rpm—making the bike smooth and tractable for urban cruising but ready to thrill at mid-to-high revs.
With low maintenance costs, thanks to a generous 15,000 km / 2-year oil service interval and a 45,000 km valve clearance check, the Monster is designed to be ridden, not constantly serviced.
Feather-Light Agility and Confident Control
The new Monster is the lightest 4-valves Monster ever built. Weighing in at just 175 kg wet (without fuel), it’s 4 kg lighter than the previous generation, making it incredibly easy to handle whether you’re flicking it through B-roads or maneuvering at low speeds in town.
- Chassis: The Monster uses a Ducati-style sporty chassis with an Aluminium Monocoque Frame and an aluminium double-sided swingarm.
- Braking: Confidence comes standard with a high-performance Brembo braking system featuring two massive 320 mm semi-floating discs up front and radially mounted Brembo Monobloc M4.32 callipers.
- Ergonomics: The riding position is upright, comfortable, and active. Crucially, the seat height has been reduced to 815 mm and the inner leg curve has been narrowed by 18 mm. For riders who want to be even closer to the ground, an accessory Low Seat and Low Suspension Kit can bring the height down to an incredibly accessible 775 mm.
Racing-Derived Electronics Package
The Monster boasts a comprehensive suite of electronics derived from Ducati’s racing experience, ensuring safety, confidence, and customisation for every ride.
You can instantly adapt the bike to your mood and conditions with four Riding Modes (Sport, Road, Urban, and Wet) and four Power Modes (High, Medium, City, Low). All settings are clearly displayed on the new, larger 5-inch full-colour TFT display.
The full suite of rider aids includes:
- Cornering ABS
- Ducati Traction Control (DTC)
- Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC)
- Engine Brake Control (EBC)
- Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) up/down 2.0 (standard for seamless gear changes)
