The new Panigale V4 is the motorcycle that comes closest to the MotoGP, inheriting some of the technical solutions developed by the multi-world title winning team so as to offer the rider the same riding sensations as professional riders.
Just like on the racetrack, the Panigale V4 never stops evolving. For 2027 the engine, chassis, electronics and aerodynamics have all been refined to work together even more closely, bringing more feel, more control and a riding experience closer than ever to a Ducati race bike. With 218 hp from the Desmosedici Stradale, electronics derived from the Superleggera V4 Centenario and a sharper chassis, every improvement turns into real performance on track.
The 2027 Panigale V4 adopts the intake duct developed for the Panigale V4 R. By raising the air pressure at the filter inlet, it helps release up to 1.3 hp of extra power at 300 km/h.
The aerodynamic package also features dual-profile winglets blended seamlessly into the fairing, now with larger, more efficient endplates for strong downforce and stability at speed.
Desmosedici Stradale Engine
The 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale brings MotoGP know-how to the road, now producing 218 hp at 13,500 rpm and 120.6 Nm at 11,000 rpm. Its 90° V4 layout, rotated back by 42°, combines Desmodromic timing, a counter-rotating crankshaft and the Twin Pulse firing order.
Updates to the intake, exhaust and lubrication boost power at high revs, and the rev limit rises by 500 rpm to 15,000 rpm in second to fifth gears. A new high-flow sports air filter reduces pressure losses, a larger Ø38 mm silencer (up from Ø36 mm) cuts back pressure, and the oil circuit has been recalibrated MotoGP-style, with maximum oil flow reduced by 10% to minimise mechanical losses.
Longer final gearing (17/42 vs 16/41) means fewer gear changes through technical sections, turning the extra performance into a real advantage on track.
Chassis and Ergonomics
The Front Frame now has 12% less lateral stiffness, improving contact with the tarmac at extreme lean angles for more grip, more confidence mid-corner and a more precise line through every phase of the turn. A new black finish underlines its racing character.
The longer final drive has also allowed the wheelbase to be shortened by 8 mm, making the bike even more agile when changing direction.
On the Panigale V4 S, the semi-handlebars can be set 10 mm higher than standard for track use, giving more steering leverage, better control in demanding sections and less physical effort under hard braking.
Electronics from the Superleggera V4 Centenario
The Panigale V4 inherits its electronics package from the Superleggera V4 Centenario, with new control strategies for greater precision, stability and performance on track. New features include Race Brake Control with dedicated track strategies, and a Ducati Quick Shift using the V4 R calibrations.
The new Dynamic Engine Brake Control (DEB) takes engine braking further by combining engine management with automatic activation of the rear brake, improving stability, precision and control on corner entry and giving the rider more confidence under hard braking.
Every control uses the Ducati Vehicle Observer, the algorithm developed by Ducati Corse, for more accurate intervention and an even sharper response when riding at the limit.
